INFORMATION AND WEATHER MAP INTERPRETATION
Homes Page Map Interpretation--

*Lyndon State College--- If you want the best education for meteorology available in the U.S., then Lyndon is the place to study. They also have one of the finest TV broadcasting programs in the nation and have won two Emmy awards!

*RentSkis.Com-- A new, quick way to reserve your boots, skis and poles ahead of time, so you do not have to stand in line when you get to the resort. You simply move to the "head" of the line and get fitted for everything. There is an 800# for questions

*Zip Code Weather--(lower elevations only) A product that we developed, which includes 5 day weather for your favorite city/ski resort and the National Weather Service text forecast, plus ski weather radars. Please note---that we are working to update the 5 day temperature and precipitation forecasts for ski resorts listed here as some of the information is not right at the ski resort itself. This automated product is not nearly as accurate as our forecasts, but gives a "general" idea of what to expect at the low elevations. The radar on this page is live and for the lower elevations.

*Exclusive Ski Weather radar Shows precipitation and cloud cover for the U.S. (white/blue= snow) (green-rain). Please note that conditions on top of the ski resort could be quite a bit different than this radar says and that these LIVE pictures are mostly for the lowest elevations.

*Watch the Jetstream for the next 10 days-- A product by Unisys---This is a moving 10 day computer forecast of the jetstream across N. America (please look closely to see state boundaries). If you want to see a "still picture" of a particular day, simply click on the day you want next to "Time" at the top of the page. For example, if you want to know the weather 6 days from now, click on 6D.

This will stop the frame. You can see areas of low (stormy) and high (dry) pressure. Blue and white areas represent colder weather with the darkest blue being the coldest. Green, yellow and red represent the warmest areas with red being the warmest

*Forecasted Storm Tracks for the next 48 hours (lower right)- This is a computer generated forecast animation updated in the late morning each day and developed by my Alma Mater (Lyndon State College)-- (please give 1-2 minutes to load up). This map will give you a general idea of where precipitation (snowfall/rainfall) will be over the next 48 hours and where storms are (L). The solid blue line is an approximation of rain vs. snow at about 3,000. North of this blue line, snow is a good bet at 3,000 feet or higher. South of this line, rain or ice may be possible at the lowest elevations.

*Topnotch Resort & Spa-- My favorite spa and tennis club in N. America, and by golly, I have been to a lot of them. This resort has been ranked in the top 5 consistently by Tennis Magazine for its top tennis program. There are over a dozen top massage and treatment professionals, two swimming pools and a heck of a lot more.
